The older we get we are so inspired by this genre with its rich visuals , colorful scenes , characters that captivate and make us feel the nostalgia of our childhood days. Our Best Short Documentary Award is a new award category for us this year. They provide us with significant aspects of reality on themes and events that create a historical tapestry bringing light to our sense of identity igniting our conflicting emotions that might transform us and provide us with insights paving the way for solutions. The multifaceted world of feature length documentary films is meant To inform and help us understand on a deeper level differences that exist in the human story . These Independent gifted filmmakers are driven with artistic expression championing the future of storytelling with their personal artistic vision that comes from their own experiences and spirit. This year we happen to have two jury members who happen to be the recipients of the prestigious Nicholl Fellowship award in screenwriting Eric Nazarian and Anthony Griego. As we welcome screenplays of every genre and theme our jury looks for originality and diversity.
