Celebrating our history with the 8th Arpa Film Festival poster
2005 – The festival screened 56 films from 18 countries at the ArcLight Cinemas. Opening the festival was Khachaturian, an award winning documentary about Soviet Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian. The festival conducted its Awards Ceremony at the famed Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. Joanelle Romero, an American Indian activist, actress, and producer, received the Armin T. Wegner Humanitarian Award for her documentary film, American Holocaust: When It’s All Over I’ll Still Be Indian.
