[/vc_column_text]2014 Arpa Jury Member: DALJIT DJ PARMAR, producer
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]DALJIT DJ PARMAR grew up with the famous, Mehmood Ali and family. The combination of growing up in the west and his inside Bollywood perspective from this iconic family allowed DJ to see the unique opportunity to bridge the gap between Hollywood and Bollywood. He graduated from Vancouver Film School, Canada’s top private film university, where he studied all aspects of film production and producing. After acquiring his film skills, DJ leveraged his skills and relationships and partnered with Hunt Lowry to start facilitating several high profile multi-hundred million dollar entertainment deals currently in progress between North America and India in order to pioneer global entertainment in India on all levels. DJ recently pioneered and assisted in facilitating closing a MOU for a multi-hundred million dollar deal for Paramount to launch a theme park in India with Horizon Infra. DJ is of the founders and partners in Original Entertainment, an entertainment company focused on bridging the gap between India and North America. Recently announced by Variety in Cannes 2012, DJ launched a first of its kind business model to officially remake hit Hollywood films for Bollywood. Recently announced by Variety in Cannes 2013, DJ announced the purchase of a slate remake rights with Samir Gupta of WaterFront Films to co-produce and co-finance 5 major Hollywood titles to be remade in to Bollywood including Rambo, The Expendables, 16 Blocks, 88 Minutes, and Brooklyn’s Finest, with a total deal valuation of $50MM. In addition to this timely and new business model, he has expanded his focus to Hollywood films, Chinese co-productions and local language films, and international cinema for the global audience. DJ recently completed production on the feature film he executive produced, THE LIFEGUARD, which had a World Premiere at the Sundance Film Festival 2013 that CAA handled domestic for and Focus World released theatrically in the summer of 2013. He also recently completed production on the feature film he produced, Bird Co. Media, which had a World Premiere at the Whistler Film Festival 2012 and had a limited theatrical release in August 2014. DJ also sits on the board of directors that helped launch the Vancouver International South Asian Film Festival.

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]CAMPBELL McINNES recently joined newly formed Aspire Entertainment as President of the Feature Dvision. Previously, Campbell was a Production and Development Executive at Lotus Entertainment where as an Executive Producer he was instrumental in the development and production of a slate of independent feature films including THE GREY, starring Liam Neeson, KILLING THEM SOFTLY, starring Brad Pitt, and GRACE OF MONACO, starring Nicole Kidman.Prior to Lotus, Campbell was a studio executive at New Line Cinema, where in his six-year tenure he witnessed the studio reach its zenith with blockbuster franchises, including the LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY, RUSH HOUR, and AUSTIN POWERS. At the New Line, he was involved with a number of hit films including HE’S NOT JUST THAT INTO YOU, THE TIME TRAVELLER’S WIFE, and FINAL DESTINATION 3D. He is currently in post-production on FALLEN, based on the best-selling YA book series, directed by Scott Hicks. He is also Executive Producing LINE OF DUTY, with Ed Zwick in talks to direct.
Campbell received is B.A. from Occidental College with a double major in English literature and Anthropology and a minor in Economics. 2014 Arpa Jury Member: STAN BROOKS, producer
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]STAN BROOKS is an award-winning producer of film and television with more than 30 years of industry experience. He has produced more than 65 movies for film and television since 1989, when he founded his first independent production company, Once Upon a Time Films. Prior to founding his current company, Stan & Deliver Films, and his previous production company, Once Upon a Time Films, Brooks served as president of Guber-Peters Television. Under his leadership the company produced many notable projects including Barry Levinson’s RAIN MAN, which went on to win the Oscar for Best Picture at the 1988 Academy Awards. In 2009 Brooks produced the telefilm PRAYERS FOR BOBBY, which earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Made for Television Movie. For her portrayal of Mary Griffith, Sigourney Weaver received both Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. BROKEN TRAIL, starring Robert Duvall and Thomas Haden Church, was directed by the legendary Walter Hill and won four Emmy Awards – including Outstanding Miniseries. In 2012, Brooks produced and directed his first feature film, PERFECT SISTERS under his new production company, Stan & Deliver Films. Directed by Brooks in his directorial debut, the film stars Academy Award Nominee Abigail Breslin (THE CALL, LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE) Georgie Henley (THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA SERIES), and Academy Award Winner Mira Sorvino (MIGHTY APHRODITE, ROMY AND MICHELE’S HIGH SCHOOL REUNION). The film opened in theaters on April 11, 2014 – receiving praiseworthy reviews from both The Los Angeles Times and New York Times. Brooks directed his second feature in 2014 with the true-crime drama, THE GRIM SLEEPER, starring Dreama Walker (DON’T TRUST THE B IN APARTMENT 23), Macy Gray (TRAINING DAY), Ernie Hudson (CALL ME CRAZY) and Michael O’Neill (DALLAS BUYERS CLUB). A graduate of Brandeis University, Brooks also holds a master’s degree in fine arts from the American Film Institute. He is an adjunct professor at the American Film Institute Center for Advanced Film and Television Studies.

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]ANGUS SUTHERLAND is an actor and producer with over 10 years of experience in the entertainment industry.As the son of legendary actor Donald Sutherland, Angus started his career at Spitfire Pictures, working on the production of such films as the Academy Award winning documentary UNDEFEATED, Grammy Award winner BACK AND FORTH and Emmy Award winner, GEORGE HARRISON: LIVING IN THE MATERIAL WORLD.
He is known for LOST BOYS: THE TRIBE (2008), HAROLD & KUMAR ESCAPE FROM GUANTANAMO BAY (2008) and FAMILIAR STRANGERS (2008).
Angus moved on to work in international and domestic distribution and sales at Exclusive Media where he helped bring such titles as THE WOMAN IN BLACK, END OF WATCH, and RUSH to the screen. 2014 Arpa Jury Member: SEBASTIAN SIEGEL, actor and writer
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]SEBASTIAN SIEGEL is a British-American actor and writer. His film, AWAKENING WORLD, premiered at festivals to standing-room-only audiences, received the largest screening in the history of the Sedona International Film Festival and won Most Inspiring Documentary in Miami.AWAKENING WORLD was the Centerpiece Film at 2012 Arpa Film Festival, and this year Sebastian’s comedy, JUST BE YOURSELF, is a special screening selection.
Sebastian adapted the screenplay for the true story chronicled in Ken Wilber’s globally popular book, GRACE AND GRIT, and recently wrote and directed the trailer, SECRET AGENT. He examined character material for nearly ten years with mentor James Whitmore and has played pivotal character roles on “The Finder”, “Hawaii Five-0”, “Lost”, “Family Guy”, and “The Family That Preys.”[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/1″] [/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]
2014 Arpa Jury Member: MARC BIENSTOCK, producer
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]MARC BIENSTOCK has more than twenty years of production experience in the film and television arena. He recently wrapped M. Night Shyamalan’s indie SUNDOWNING that was shot Philadelphia and will be seen on screens in 2015. He’s currently preparing to produce Shyamalan’s next film LABOR OF LOVE. Mr. Bienstock will also produce Adam Scott’s directorial debut THE COCKSMAN alongside CIRCLE OF CONFUSION and Ben Stiller’s shingle RED HOUR early next year. Mr. Bienstock serves as a consulting production executive for WWE Films where he oversees all production related matters for the company. Mr. Bienstock served as a consulting production executive for Lionsgate Films from 2010-2012. At Lionsgate Mr. Bienstock was instrumental in launching Guerilla Films, Lionsgate’s micro budget division, which produced 6 films in that time, including the recent release Date & Switch as well as the upcoming wide release Jessabelle. From 1998-2012 Mr. Bienstock served as the Senior Vice President of Production for the independent production and foreign sales company Lightning Entertainment. Mr. Bienstock managed all creative and production activities for the company’s film and television divisions. During his tenure at Lightning, Mr. Bienstock produced films and television series in Mexico, Canada, Asia, Europe and throughout the United States. His recent Producer credits include THE REMAINING (Sony/Affirm), TRIALS OF CATE MCCALL, starring Kate Beckinsale & Nick Nolte, NURSE 3D (Lionsgate), SCHOOL DANCE with Nick Cannon & Kevin Hart, QUARANTINE 2–TERMINAL (Sony), PREACHERS KID (Warner Bros.), PATHOLOGY (MGM/Lakeshore) and the WILD THINGS franchise (ScreenGems).Marc Bienstock began his career directing music videos and commercials after graduating from NYU’s Tisch School of The Arts in1987.
