Synopsis: Thirteen years old PAPI is a happy young kid who lives in Thies; a beautiful city located 56 kilometers (35 miles) east of Dakar, the capital of the Republic of Senegal. Papi’s level of happiness rose to ecstatic when he received five thousands francs CFA (approximately $10) from his beloved mother. Unfortunately, Papi runs into SAMBA, a much older mean and ruthless bully. Without hesitation, Samba maltreats Papi and steals his money. Just when it seems that this deplorable act of injustice will go unpunished, PIERRE, Papi’s eight years old younger brother, takes matters into his own juvenile hands. His remarkable act of bravery will help save the day, and ultimately solidify Pierre and Papi’s unique brotherhood. In the ensuing days, Samba will galvanize his shame, anger and embarrassment in order to feel whole again by seeking revenge. Samba will also come to the realization that revenge is a dish best served cold. Especially when MALIKA, Pierre and Papi’s older sister, stands in his way.
